Vince Gasparro, Member of Parliament for Eglinton–Lawrence and Parliamentary Secretary (Combatting Crime), was born and raised in North York to Italian-Canadian
parents, and proudly calls this riding home. Mr. Gasparro was elected to represent Eglinton–Lawrence in Ottawa on April 28th, 2025.
For over 20 years, Mr. Gasparro dedicated his career to building a better future for both his community and country, with extensive experience in finance and government, holding a wide range of executive roles.

As the Head of Sustainable Finance at Scotiabank’s Roynat Capital and Vancity –Canada’s largest Credit Union – Mr. Gasparro financed critical clean energy infrastructure projects across Canada. In addition to his work in finance, Mr. Gasparro served as Principal Secretary to Toronto Mayor John Tory and as a Special Assistant to
Prime Minister Paul Martin. Mr. Gasparro further had the privilege of serving on the boards of directors of the Canada Infrastructure Bank, Postmedia, World Wildlife Fund, and the Toronto
Community Housing Corporation. Environmental action has been central to Mr. Gasparro’s work. He represented Canada at the United Nations climate conferences, attending COP26 in the UK, COP27 in Egypt, and COP28 in the UAE.

Mr. Gasparro holds an (Hons) BA from York University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an Executive MBA from Villanova University.
